I disagree with this overly negative post of Samuel's (altho it is a G rated version of what he said in tournament chat). If the other team had been out for more than 30 seconds then yes they should be disqualified. They would have broken the rules.
There is no provision for a rematch in the rules if they aren't broken.
As you describe it they did not break the rules. Offering opinions for rule changes next time is great. But to berate other players and those putting on the tournament because you don't like the way they followed the rules and you don't like the way you responded tactically in game is not productive. I can just see you out there on the baseball diamond in the early days of the game jumping up and down in the umpires face complaining of the "exploits" of the other team in doing an intentional walk or a bunt. The rules didnt used to allow those either but they didn't violate anything.
If you don't like a rule then complain about it before the tournament not after you lose. I also find the negative here and in related posts unproductive. In my opinion it is disrespectful of the hard work of those putting on the tournament to be berated as "completely unfair" "ridiculous" and ignoring you if no rules were actually broken.
