By the way no reason to insult anyone for a loss of 21 Mils isk. Just asking the reimbursement. But it seems the fairness is gone in RvB

Having fun in and with RvB? Difficult, if someone pod you and his ceo says "well done". (it seems more that ceo and the guy are the same human player)

Hi. Ex RvB director here, and new Pandemic Horde "FC" (read; I've done like 3 fleets). I came across the post quite by accident (followed a link from EVE-O) and I'm just here to troll lay down some smack.

RvB have established rules for "fairness" which include No Podding. However, the rules are quite clear on podding;

1. No podding of RvB members; again very simple rule

Since you were not in RvB at the time, any actions regarding podding taken are up to the discretion of the pilot who engaged you.

You could instead argue rule number 7 which is "Don't be a dick". This doesn't specify RvB members but shooting ships and their capsules are a long established thing in New Eden. Unless you specifically established with the RvB member in advance not to pod then he's hardly breaking this rule. You're in highsec - there is literally no reason for your pod to be caught by a non-instalock frigate (even then, you can instawarp in a pod)

Regarding your overview,that's your bad. You're in frigates - they die quickly. Even if you asked the RvB pilot to stop you were probably already dead by the time he read it. That is your fault. If I forget to load cap charges before a duel, I'm not going to ask 10 seconds after being webbed to stop and go again. You make do and take the loss on the chin.

So, now establishing that

  1. You were not in RvB (therefore you do not follow RvB rules)
  2. You were not in RvB (therefore the other pilot has less rules to follow when engaging you)
  3. You're still not in RvB (so the directors here don't have to even give you the time of day if they don't want to)
  4. You fucked up your overview and still engaged (or warped to the point agreed for the engagement)
  5. RvBs policy has always been fairness towards each other, never third parties unless agreed well in advance

Why should they pay you a single ISK? This is EVE Online. You own your mistakes, as they were your mistakes.

tg out. (HAI RvB I RESUBBED)

Despite being unsubbed myself, this is very sad to see. I was in RvB for a long time in the past (even a director at one point) and my times here were among my top in EVE.
Good luck to all the departing members!
