On the weekend of November 21st and 22nd, RvB will be holding a tournament as part of our Annual Alliance Tournament
As with the RvB Tyrian Trophy held last year (Videos are here & here), this tournament will focus on 5 man teams, flying no ships larger than battle-cruisers.
A tournament that will play to the strengths of RvB and is entertaining to all of you, and all of the people who will watch this amazing event live on twitch.
The victors - and there will be many - will take home a share of around 25 BILLION ISK in prizes including ISK, Ships, in game medals and EveBet isk awards.
The details:
The tournament will be a double elimination format much like the NEO II & the SCL. This means that to get knocked out a team needs to lose two matches in the early stages rather than one, and makes for a more interesting format indeed. And like those tournaments will use a points system as detailed below.
The tournament will be managed by me using challonge.com.
The finals will feature a best of 3 matches with the involved teams alternating bans.
You can x up as either a pilot or a team captain in this thread. The deadline for sign ups is 0:00 UTC October 30th 2015. Following this I will assign pilots to a team, no later than November 6th . Once this is done, teams have the remaining time to practice for the real thing.
Those who have signed up as Captains elsewhere need not x-up again.

Inspiring Martyr: To the LOSS MAIL with the largest damage recieved, I will award a goody-packed Zephyr. This little ship has been placed as a prize twice before now, but found the metrics untrackable or invalid; and the contents have appreciated significantly in value over the interim. Third times the charm though and I can check this one myself.
MVNP: To the Most Valuable New Player I will give an extra special prize - my entire HQ bookmark collection. These are about 200 bookmarks around EACH of Red and Blue HQ, and have saved my ass/scored me kills repeatedly. If you don't want them for some reason (???), chances are very, very good you could auction them off to some other players, or I can offer some other newbie friendly packet. For the metric, this will be entirely my call based on what I see, and the default requirement is looking to be: character age < 3 months, Time in RvB < 1 month. Exceptions may be made for those who are returning from an old account, or switching from true-hearted carebear on a case-by-case basis; and team captains are encouraged to let me know of any MVNP heroics during their matches.

Participation medals for all pilots who fly in the tournament will also be awarded.
