If you haven't heard RvB is a very lax corp/alliance. A common  theme is "Just do it!" and FCing is no different.

Here are some very basic things to do to get started FCing.

-Start a fleet.

-Have a safe spot. This will give your fleet a place to form up, with out getting ganked. If you don't have one    some one will.

-As far as calling targets goes. Until you figure out a strategy, its best to just call the closest targets.

Other things to remember.

The opposing FC wants a good fight as much as you do. So get into the RvB community chat and find out who the other FC is. Most FC's are more than happy to accommodate for new FC's.

Most people don't try to FC because they don't want to be responsible for loosing every ones stuff.
Just remember they all undocked knowing that they WOULD (not might) lose that ship.

Could of points....

Keep talking! Repeat instructions often, keep calling primary, secondary, etc. Chatter let's the fleet know the FC is active, engaged, and helps anyone who wasn't paying attention.

If you are worried about being probe down at your safe spot, use a rolling safe. Have a fast ship (intercepter or t1 equivalent) align to a spot and burn at max speed. The rest of the fleet aligns, but can slow burn. Anytime the fast ship reaches 150+ km, warp the fleet to the fast ship. Keep repeating. Usually, by the time the enemy warps in, you are out of the way.

For calling targets, general rule that can work is:

1 Destroyers
2 high dps cruisers (thorax, vexor, caracal, omen)
3 high dps frigs

Save known tanky ships such as mallers, moss, punishers, and merlins for later.

This isn't perfect, but will help around 70% of the time.

It should be worth noting that this is covered in detail here: http://rvbeve.com/fo...a-fleet-in-rvb/

Samuel, why does your character have a black eye?

I'm a walking nightmare, an arsenal of doom
I kill conversation as I walk into the room
I'm a three line whip, I'm the sort of thing they ban
I'm a walking disaster, I'm a demolition man

This explains why my Tristans and Catalysts last 5 seconds in Red v Blue fleets hahaha

I would love to learn more about FCing. I have always had a goal to FC. It looks like a bunch of fun (and responsibility and pressure)!
