Just a small thing from me, as I want an idea of the experience level of the FC guys & gals in RvB.

Mostly as I have some ideas for events and the like that really will need some FC co-operation & I don't want to assume things about you all and have those plans fall down due to said assumptions. But also as I think its a nice way for everyone else to get a read on their FCs.

So please could you just answer this small number of questions from me, some are background, some are much more pertinent to my needs:

1) How long have you been playing & been resident in RvB?

2) How long have you been FCing?

3) Did you only start FCing in RvB?

4) Are you experienced in FCing in Empire Wars, low-sec and/or null-sec as well as RvB?

5) Logistics - good or bad? In terms of RvB fleets / Fleets in general. If you have other experience with Logi say here too.

6) Ewar - good or bad? In terms of RvB fleets / Fleets in general. If you have other experience with EWAR say here too.

7) What is your comfort level when FCing?

Examples: "I am happy with frigs only", "I love BS heavy well supported fleets", "Im a nano fag", "Mallers are the way to a flawless victory", "I dont care as long it is a brawl"

8) Related to the above, how about fleet sizes, what is the sweet spot for you to handle?

9) Shiny loot: all proceeds to RvB or split amongst the fleet?

Thanks awfully in advance for any & all responses.

I would appreciate it if someone could spam this into the Fleets channel from time to time to get it attention from the less forum active amongst the RvB FC's.

1) How long have you been playing & been resident in RvB? Started playing in 2005. Been in RvB for 1.5 years

2) How long have you been FCing? Id's say 3+ years

3) Did you only start FCing in RvB? No

4) Are you experienced in FCing in Empire Wars, low-sec and/or null-sec as well as RvB? Prior to RvB I used to be a backup and later on a primary FC for 20-30 BS fleets in High and Low sec

5) Logistics - good or bad? Good

6) Ewar - good or bad? Force multiplier is always good

7) What is your comfort level when FCing?  BS with RR/EW support (with someone else herding the support cats). Any other sub BS fleets. Brawls are awesome

8) Related to the above, how about fleet sizes, what is the sweet spot for you to handle? Doesn't really matter as long as the fleet can follow primaries.

9) Shiny loot: all proceeds to RvB or split amongst the fleet? Split would be ideal but RvB is a nightmare for that.

1. Started playing in 09, joined RvB just over 2 years ago
2. Started FCing 3 years ago or so, small gang FW stuff
3. No
4. Comfortable in high and low, no 0.0 experience
5. Logis are my thing
6. Ewar is awesome
7. I'm comfortable with pretty much any kind of fleet or support wing. Just don't hand me caps.
8. Comfortable with any sized fleet (though I did sweat a bit when the euni war fleet filled)
9. Depends. I've done both.

1) How long have you been playing & been resident in RvB?

First account started 3 years ago, 6 months in RvB

2) How long have you been FCing?

My first fleet was a month after I started

3) Did you only start FCing in RvB?

No. My first FC experiences were with E-Uni 3 years ago

4) Are you experienced in FCing in Empire Wars, low-sec and/or null-sec as well as RvB?

All

5) Logistics - good or bad?

Really really good. If done right.

6) Ewar - good or bad?

Really really good, If done right.

7) What is your comfort level when FCing?

Happy to FC anything from frigs to BS down, shinies as well, kite fleets, heavy armour w/ logi etc. My only req is that I am part of the biggest ship class. E.g to FC a BS-down fleet I have to be in a BS.

8) Related to the above, how about fleet sizes, what is the sweet spot for you to handle?

Any size is good for me. If I'm FCing 100+ I'm a bit more controlling on who speaks on eve voice to stop spam but other than that I'm happy to FC any size.

9) Shiny loot: all proceeds to RvB or split amongst the fleet?

Proceeds to RvB simply because splitting is often unfair e.g guy i a t1 frig getting as much as a guy who risked his battleship. However, prizes for people who did well etc works the best imho.

1) How long have you been playing & been resident in RvB?

 More than Del by 2 months  B)

2) How long have you been FCing?

4-5 years with a rather long 4 years break

3) Did you only start FCing in RvB?

No

4) Are you experienced in FCing in Empire Wars, low-sec and/or null-sec as well as RvB?

Did some E-uni vs pirates derps a long time ago

5) Logistics - good or bad?

it's a matter of size... 1/10 good, 9/10 bad

6) Ewar - good or bad?

if you're ganking smaller fleets it's just the final F-U, otherwise it's fine

7) What is your comfort level when FCing?

I really don't mind derping

Examples: "I am happy with frigs only", "I love BS heavy well supported fleets", "Im a nano fag", "Mallers are the way to a flawless victory", "I dont care as long it is a brawl"

8) Related to the above, how about fleet sizes, what is the sweet spot for you to handle?

I'd love to derp a huge fleet, then say ok now you all go solo

9) Shiny loot: all proceeds to RvB or split amongst the fleet?

Monkey grabber grabs: train those reflexes! Who the hell wants to waste time splitting t2 shit?

Thanks awfully in advance for any & all responses.

Here's a cock for you, we know you like them

1) How long have you been playing & been resident in RvB? Little over 1 year

2) How long have you been FCing? About 10 months(?)

3) Did you only start FCing in RvB? Yep, I joined RvB about 2-3 months into playing Eve.

4) Are you experienced in FCing in Empire Wars, low-sec and/or null-sec as well as RvB? Nope, fuck TiDi

5) Logistics - good or bad? Good

6) Ewar - good or bad? Awesome

7) What is your comfort level when FCing? I don't wear pants, just boxers or PJs

Examples: "I am happy with frigs only", "I love BS heavy well
supported fleets", "Im a nano fag", "Mallers are the way to a flawless
victory", "I dont care as long it is a brawl"

I guess I prefer FCing BC down fleets because I don't fly BSs. Mallers ugh (Unless Kikkio is running it).

8) Related to the above, how about fleet sizes, what is the sweet spot for you to handle? I prefer small gang (especially if it is people I know/can read my mind), but I don't mind bigger fleets. I wouldn't want to pull a Professor Clio. Hit and run tactics all the way.

9) Shiny loot: all proceeds to RvB or split amongst the fleet? Split among the people on the killmail.

3) Did you only start FCing in RvB? No

4) Are you experienced in FCing in Empire Wars, low-sec and/or null-sec as well as RvB?  yes have not done alot with null tho i am more comfortable in high and low.

5) Logistics - good or bad?  good

6) Ewar - good or bad?  good just annoying at times

7) What is your comfort level when FCing?   anything BS and down,  love to run a kiting fleet tho requires some skill besides just calling targets :)

8) Related to the above, how about fleet sizes, what is the sweet spot for you to handle?  im ok with just about anything tho anything over 75 can get a bit much if i have no help.

1) How long have you been playing & been resident in RvB?

I've been in RvB a couple of months and joined up roughly 3 weeks after I started playing again, I've had a couple of failed attempts at playing eve in the past (for about 3 weeks then getting burnt out) and you guys really made the game fun!

2) How long have you been FCing?

Not Long! I still get nervous every-time!

3) Did you only start FCing in RvB?

Yes,

4) Are you experienced in FCing in Empire Wars, low-sec and/or null-sec as well as RvB?

I've only done RvB and a little bit in the BNI war, I'd love to learn more about the different aspects of FC'ing in null and have lead a roam to low before, I've previously suggested the idea of a small purple null roam, but as of yet I've havent been able to impliment it, (Exams and Surgery rather got in the way but i aim to begin when i return from Spain)

5) Logistics - good or bad?

Good, Something I intended to fly more, as well as train up  when I've got more Bombing Skills

6) Ewar - good or bad?

Very Good, Agony's hydra fleets are a prime example of this, I'm going to begin trying to get an even spread of ewar in my fleets, and more ecm against 3rd party war targets, I love ECM, its such a force multiplier as is logi.

7) What is your comfort level when FCing?

I'm Honestly still a  bit nervous when I undock and start leading the fleet, But I'm willing to try anything! If you dont mind losing it you can bring it! I've done several fast hit and run style fleet and enjoyed them tremendously as well as a couple of BC down Brawls, I really enjoy longer engagements, where the two fleets just crash into each other.   I've never Fc'd a battle ship fleet or a fleet of about 50 so one of those is next on the list.

8) Related to the above, how about fleet sizes, what is the sweet spot for you to handle?

I'll try Handle any Number as long as we keep Coms semi Clear or have a dedicated Intel channel for scouting, i still suffer slightly with information over load and as such, so i like to try and make sure i have all the important information easily accessible.  If people want to fly with me, Then i'll never turn anyone away,

9) Shiny loot: all proceeds to RvB or split amongst the fleet?

I'll throw it to RvB to save any drama and continue on the brilliant events, wars and programs RvB has going.

1) How long have you been playing & been resident in RvB?
I've been playing about 2.5 years, almost a year in RvB.

2) How long have you been FCing
About 6 months in RvB.

3) Did you only start FCing in RvB?
Yes, unless you want to count missions

4) Are you experienced in FCing in Empire Wars, low-sec and/or null-sec as well as RvB?
Nope, I like being a kitty during wars.

5) Logistics - good or bad?
Love logi, as I tend to die quickly, I however have only used it a few times and got lucky that they knew a lot about it

6) Ewar - good or bad?
Good, as long as someone who understands it is running that squad

7) What is your comfort level when FCing?
Examples: "I am happy with frigs only", "I love BS heavy well supported fleets", "Im a nano fag", "Mallers are the way to a flawless victory", "I dont care as long it is a brawl"
I love brawls, have managed BC down fleets, never completely comfortable...I worry about silly things like "did I warp fleet?"

8) Related to the above, how about fleet sizes, what is the sweet spot for you to handle?
I've never had a fleet bigger than about 20-25

9) Shiny loot: all proceeds to RvB or split amongst the fleet?
I've never had shiney loot, I'd have to say split amongst fleet, with a tip for tacklers.

Just a small thing from me, as I want an idea of the experience level of the FC guys & gals who can see this part of the forum. Mostly as I have some ideas for events and the like that really will need some FC co-operation & I don't want to assume things about you all and have those plans fall down due to said assumptions.

6) Ewar - good or bad?

1: I started playing in 2010 and did so for about 6 months.  I started again in February 2013 with the explicit goal of joining RvB, and did so in March.

2:  I started FCing about a month after I joined RvB

3:  Yes

4:  No - I felt RvB was a good place to start

5:  Do you mean can I do it or how I think about it?  My toon can fly a t1 logi (armour) but I have very limited experience doing so.  In general I think it's a good idea but a single logi ship doesn't work, you need a few.

6:  Same comment as above.  Personally I've flown arbitrators a bit.  I think for RvB it should be done with a light touch, and without  mercy to our 3rd party wartargets!

7:  I'm not horrid, but I'm not a very good FC - I seem to be better at "making something happen" (creating a fleet, ordering it around etc) than the actual FCing.  I've FCed 10-20 fights so far, so maybe I will get better with time.  RL doesn't allow me to do as much RvB-ing as I would like sadly, and when I log on and there is an FC already on I'll gladly deffer to him.   I much prefer cruiser down with a fairly straightforward approach because I'm not skilled enough to lead a valuable fleet or fancy tactics

8:  definitely 10 and under, still working on that broad situational awareness.

9:  Ideally, divide, but I'm not sure if that's practical? :(

Curious as to why you are asking :)

1) How long have you been playing & been resident in RvB?
Playing EvE for a bit over a year now. In RvB for about 9 months, 26m SP so pretty new compared to most of you guys.

2) How long have you been FCing?
Probably about 6 months now.

3) Did you only start FCing in RvB?
Yep, RvB was my first FC experience.

4) Are you experienced in FCing in Empire Wars, low-sec and/or null-sec as well as RvB?

Low and null sec yes, but not any wars.

5) Logistics - good or bad?

Very good. Not only from a pilot point of view but also in terms of making fleet fights a bit more tactical.

6) Ewar - good or bad?

Pretty much the same as logi, great at making the fights more tactical.

7) What is your comfort level when FCing?

Very comfortable for regular RvB fleets of any ship type, arranged or roaming, doesn't matter as long as it's a fight. A little nervous but pretty confident out in null/low, and never done any purple/war fleets.

8) Related to the above, how about fleet sizes, what is the sweet spot for you to handle?
I think 15-20 on grid is a good number, not too massive but not too small either.

9) Shiny loot: all proceeds to RvB or split amongst the fleet?

Last time I FC'ed a fleet that had shiny loot drop it was worth about 400m from memory, and I ended up splitting it between the 10 of us on the KM, so 40m each. It's probably best to split it between members since it's a nice boost for them and keeps them fighting. If RvB did need the cash though it would always be possible to change this to giving it all to RvB.
