By the way, has anyone of u played the original Operation:Flashpoint? Did that have any sort of multiplayer?

Ok, i found TS, updater dayz commander, got into game, it works.. Will be later to play..

Because im dumb, how do i change the name of my in game character?

I tried in edit character, where u choose the head, voice and glasses, but i cant click on name to edit it - field seems locked..

Anyone knows?

Yes the default character you make cannot be edited. you will have to create a new character with the Tags. Good if you have just joined the server but sucks if you had a load of stuff like i did when i changed from JamesUK to PryMary lol

GAWD, I feel like an idiot. So I plugged in your link and got in - it loaded and then gave me a secondary list of servers. None of which showed up as [Team BBQ]. Why am I getting this secondary server listing (GameSpy listing).

When I try to join anything it just gives me a map and I am totally ignorant on what to do.

Do you have a primer for old people who can seem to only play Eve now?

I just join in the server with SIX, I searched for the sever ip then added as favourites, press join game and it puts me straight it, If I go in without six it goes to that gamespy server list to which you'll have no hope finding the server

I use dayz commander, its really good. Has also updates feature for arma client and dayz itself..

Just had to type in search teamBBQ, and it found it, put to favourites, and play..

Using DayZ Commander - Put in the IP address for your server, shows that I connect, but I go to the server listing screen. I will try to do a search on [TeamBBQ] tonight and see if that yields different results.

saw you trying to connect last night del, you were getting that pesky 'files missing' glitch when trying to join, you sorted that out now? i used to get that to and there was a fix involving arrow head addons folder. Might be worth a google of your still having trouble

How do I make my OA match the one you are running?

(My Dayz itself is fine, just OA being dumb).

mang if you use dayz commander it does all that for you. There is an option on it called install/update and this allows you to get the following:

Update DayZ commander (auto)
Arma 2 (OA) - Update to current server version
DayZ - Update to current server version.

Somethings wrong with the server, once i log in i get a message that i need Dayz version 1.7.3?? plus link to dayz.com/downloads, which redirects you to http://www.dayzee.com/login.php.

And there are about 15 guys on the server atm [WtW] before their names.

I am able to spawn, but then have a black screen telling me I do not run the newest version of Dayz (which i do,as 1.7.2.6 is the latest)

The server is auto updated to the latest version as soon as it's released. I have just checked DayZ Commander and I have to get the latest version myself, which i am currently downloading via DayZ commander.
