We had quite a lot of losses last night, primarily down to the fact their fleet effectively countered ours by keeping us at range.

Some good work by various people, not gonna divulge any behind the scenes info because of guaranteed infiltration on these boards, but well done in several situations in helping get at least a 13 of the drakes down by the end of it.

You win some you lose some. Overall though we are winning the ISK War by a bill or two.

They did kill a lot of battleships tonight but I think it's unfortunate becuase at one point we were seperated and they pounced on the opportunity to pick us apart whilst our blob was scattered about the place.

The Mate war carries on. I'm sure mang will write up something better later today because my brain hurts!

Good mating.

kiting set up vs slow battleships with guardians.

It started out with us having the upper hand but they started to bounce around shortly after. Altough we had warp-ins provided at all times, fleet discipline went off board,we got scattered and lost 2 guardians (one was mine) and some heavy hitters.

Nevertheless i had a fun night

Without a doubt last night could have gone much better. Lessons have been learned and improvement can be made.

We are still ahead on the isk war :)

I lost 4/5 frigs trying to tackle them.
Despite that I still had a blast. My thanks again to the leaders and fc's of RvB. You guys rock!

It's all about getting decent fights, and we've had them so far. Say what you like about our NCdot mates, but they have certainly kept us entertained so far. I didn't wants that Armageddon anyway :D

Day Two of The Mate War. Hits & Misses.

So, after the amazing events leading up to the war starting and the first set of fights right after that - read more on that here - Day Two started pretty quietly with only a handful of NCYELLOWDOT pilots rolling around, until they all conveniently died. And all the while, standard every day RvB was happening.

NB: If we can keep RvB moving day to day while facing down a large organised group and its attendant solo pilots, surely we can do this when faced with our regular 3rd party war targets?

A short while later, we received word - from NCYELLOWDOT themselves - that they would be coming out to play once again:

[ 2012.07.31 19:46:03 ] wiiggls > Enochia Starr > Twink just announced round 3

[ 2012.07.31 19:46:23 ] wiiggls > Enochia Starr > But, once again. It's retarded

[ 2012.07.31 20:07:49 ] wiiggls > Poision Kevin > we're on our way

A none-CTA, Call to arms for the brave boys, girls and others who fly in RvB. Once again, two fleets were formed and some communication was undertaken between the fleets and then we found out the composition of the other side:

Lots and lots drakes & scimitars, along with some light tackle and the ubiquitous lachesis & huginns.

This would be interesting.

And once again that was very British understatement on my part.

It was not as pretty as the night before. Although we had good warp-ins for the smaller fleet, we could never get those set for the larger fleet which usually saw our smaller fleet land right on the enemy fleet, just as the big fleet would bounce off grid again.

However this is not the fault of any person in either fleet, especially the larger, less experienced fleet who despite being outran by the loki-boosted NCYELLOWDOT fleet, still gave a very good account of themselves, but not as good as they could have if our coordination had been as good the night before. Also, both fleets were much slower than they you would have thought, but thats just how it rolls. RvB cannot win them all, all of the time. Eventually the smaller fleet started shouting at itself. Was rather amusing. More so when some members were telling me I could not go shout at any one else as we would like RvB to retain members!

Following a battle of attrition between the sides were several good kills were scored by all involved - including the same Cynabal pilot dieing a few times, the smaller fleet merged with the larger fleet and Exile - brave brave soul you! - passed me the FC role, and for fun, I performed a couple of good hit & runs on the NCYELLOWDOT fleet, using a 100+ pilot fleet that consisted of pretty much everything available to RvB. Very very amusing on my part, and we suffered very few large losses - mostly fast tackle died, as our ranged guys did their thing, myself and the tackle did our thing and what I called died, even alignments out went near perfectly. Oh did I mention I found the regroup button again?!

And then, our enemies went home as they had null things to do apparently:

Thanks for GF's

cya in ustz hopefully or tomorrow if tonight doesnt work.

Tell your tackle GG at tackling twink

Now, some people will look at the end of Day Two and think we lost, but that was just a couple of fights, and what we did lose was mostly smaller stuff (Overall isk war is still being won - and we keep making explosions!). The biggest shame of the night is that Red Federation pilot who took down most of the large fleet with a smartbombing raven (his subsequent local/corp smack was were the true colours of NCYELLOWDOT shone through in my opinion), but no one could foresee that. The rest of the war will be prosecuted with our usual élan and will to have fun with "explodeymates" I am sure.

Until tonight, I'll leave you with a few videos of last night from the small fleets point of view:

As long as we are not LOLing crap fleets with no tactics into their fleets its fine. But if we can't get semi professional once and a while stay docked up.

Mang, you quoted wigs saying they're coming when I was clearly first. =( So not nice.

I would also say that the small fleet of BSes did have some good warp-ins, Jeenii spent most of the night sat on their Scimi group but we were usually far too close to make use of said warp-in or, by the time we warped they had gotten out of range.

Have to agree, Jeenii was the star of the show for pro warp ins. We were landing right on top of them. I think that's how we lost some of our larger stuff thinking about it, they died before our logi chain could setup after landing. Still, we scored a fair few nice kills with those warpins (I recall landing right on top of that Cynabal pilot Mang mentioned and he just seemed to not move and then proceeded to die - several times in the night).

Again, nice write up Mang.

Can anybody update on how stuff went today? The killboards don't look too pleasant.

From what I heard there wasn't a huge lot of activity, but lots of smaller fights... correct me if I'm wrong,
