Problems on the Home Front...

She fell from a deck hitting concrete. She fractured both wrists, her spine in 2 spots, and her skull.
She is still at the hospital and will be for some time. The prognosis is good, but there will also be physical therapy at a rehab facility after the hospital stay.
So... My life has gotten complicated. On one hand, Sue had recently started a job as a waitress working the evening shift so not much has changed from a child care perspective. On the other had this may last a few months.
I will be active and doing my part in RvB as I'll need the distraction at night. However I'll be a bit stressed and out of sorts. Makes me wish I could have a few more directors just in case. Still, Del Delvechio can be reached by PM here if needed and has continued to support RvB. Miri is active too. So we should be covered well. Jasper and Vision are still gods among men for all they do, and everyone who is a CC or on the command mailing list has been helpful and wonderful. I think RvB should be fine.
I just want to share this so you all understand if I am a bit short on comms, or forums. I will probably be stressed. So thank you all and sorry RL is adding a little complications to RvBb but it should all be good.

I just got over shredding all the gooey bits in my shoulder, and surgery, and 6 months of therapy. I'm now surfing and swimming again. It is a long and boring pain in the butt, but things do come out well on the other side.

Hang in there and good luck!

Goodness what a shame.
Take care friend - sounds like Sue has a loyal and loving support in you.
i'll try and let my mega-tank bantams linger into the US TZ... I know how much you enjoy killing them.

Sue was released from the Hospital on Tuesday. The I juries include:
Both wrists shattered
A broken rib
A fracture in the middle of the spine
Fractures in C4 and C5 vertebra which were not major thank God so neck brace but no paralysis.
Stiched on the front of the head are out but 24 staples on her head running from front to back
Confusion but no signs of permanent brain damage
So needless to say gravity and the concrete ganked her very hard. She's living at her parents house as they are retired and can provide more supervision/care.
So it's been my daughter and me at home which is good, but adds a but more parental duties. I am covering it but at times am burnt and my free time is limited. That said I have been on became it is a nice distraction.
So thank you all for your well wishes and patience.

Thanks for the update!
Sound heavy those injuries. But fortunatly nothing that's unhealable!
It's a miracle how the doctors nowadays can heal those injuries. I broke my leg two years ago, and although both my lower bones were fractured (rather splintered) I can use my leg almost like before. Seriously watch what they did with my leg, that's some high level medical engineering. I hope she will get an equally good treatment!
Great that her parents can take care of her. I'm sure the relation between you and your daughter will grow stronger with this situation.
