We usually use a black ops ship to move into the systems and bombs away but today we tried a rolling fleet because we were moving though three regions it would have cost way to much in fuel and would have been alot of jumps which means many cynos and it ended up not being worth it because it would only save 2 jumps
. This ment no shiney effects this time. We set off into lowsec through Jan with a desination ofP3EN-E however we hit a gate camp in OBE. They had legion, slicer, sabre, domi and afew other nice dps ships (basically we could have bombed but he wouldnt have died) so we decided to watch the fleet instead. They were jumping to and from like madmen before we decided to sack it and jump because it was a regional gate we can cloak up and should be out of range of each other. So we bounced off and jumped through, cloaked warped all was fine. Then 1 or 2 said they had lagged on the otherside of the gate and they couldnt/didnt jump through. They then jumped and somehow (not sure how with a cloak) got caught and died. The only reason we can think of why is lag and the grid loaded too slow. The fleet warped back to the gate and found a lonley osprey however we were rumbled when the warp in that was used took us though the gate and decloaked us (again all a learning process for some of the guys) once we were decloaked a number of fleet members engaged without command so we all engaged. However we couldnt use bombs because the gate was between us and the target and we all would have died. However Exile didnt not know this and slung a bomb in luckly I managed to fleet warp majority out but one solider was not so lucky and we had a blue on blue. :sad panda:We continued none the less but had to move out of P3EN-E because of the camping so we moved next door to I-PAY. This system was empty and was perfect for the new idea which I thought would work better for RvB. I set up two small bubbles (one for each of the incoming gates) in a position which we could do bombing runs on both the gate and the bubbles if needed. After a small time of camping afew GIANTSBANE. entered local. They scouted with a jag who hit the bubbles, we stayed cloaked hoping he would bring friends. About 15 mins later we got our wish and a fleet jumped in, they waited around on the EDI gate for a small amount of time before leroying into the bubbles. There was a cepter (was sent to make tac's for the fleet to bounce) and a tanky ship i forgot the name of and cant remeber for the life of me. We decided to go for it and see what happens because we werent going to get another chance. (That and PVDN was getting itchy without a kill every 3 mins
) We deployed bombs and warped off however he was just too tanky to kill. Once everyone was safed up I wanted to get us a warp in so I warped back. Their fleet was scattered some 200 off the gate some in the bubbles and some at 0 (not good for bombs) They shot our bubbles and got to 0 on the gate where smack swiftly filled local. We couldnt do another bombing run or risk losing more hulls, jag had to log and afew others had become bored of camping so i deicded to take us home where we had no further incidents and docked up.Overall it was more of a sucess than the first time just no kills for the people who were not fimiliar with black ops 3 fleets ago have got the hang of it now and the survivability has gone up. We just need to practice with bombs some more because some peoples targeting doesnt quite work
